Just an quick update on the dresser. I guess I didn't realize what a major project this was going to turn out to be! But it's so far looking ever so worth it. I completely changed what I was going to do with the design, decided for a tribal-esque dragon motif. getting the paint off that thing was a NIGHTMARE, but I finally got it stripped and painted everything a solid gloss black, save the top, which was matte. Decoupage doesn't stick too well to gloss surfaces. So, I just got the dragon on the top, and I'll slap some polyurethane on it tomorrow (aaah, fumes!).
I picked up some bright red paint, so I'll do some detail painting on the drawers probably next week. Stay tuned for completed pics!
