scrap cabinet revamp

So, I pick up odd jobs where I can, and a friend was gracious enough to offer a bit of work helping him with his remodeling business. At one of the houses I noticed the remnants of the ripped out kitchen, some cabinets and such. One such cabinet was still in great condition, just sitting there crying out to me to do something with it. Since I needed a nifty little thing such as this for my CDs, I snapped it up.

So, after bringing her home and stripping off the God Awful laminant that someone haphazardly glued on, I went to work in giving it a few coats of that remnant paint I still have. I swear, if I don't stop, I'll have so much red and black furniture I won't know what to do!
Anyways, I figured I'd jsut go with the ol' cliches, flames and a standard roman cross. The cross was done with decoupaging pages of that old german text I still have (mama never throws ANYTHING away!). It looked a little plain, so I outlined it with silver, then added some scrolly leaf detail on the inside. I like how it turned out, will fit nicely in my den!
